European Urban Road Safety Award

In the context of the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK from 16-22 September 2019, the European Commission announced to introduce the EU Urban Road Safety Award. The EU Urban Road Safety Award shall reward local authorities for implementing measures, in the spirit of the internationally recognised 'Safe System' concept, to improve road safety. The award ties into this year's EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK theme, reminding us that it is not enough to promote walking and cycling alone – authorities also have to make it safe. The call for applications is open until 16 December 2019 – 24:00 (CET).
